PLA vs PETG: Which Material Should You Choose?

Choosing the right filament matters. Here is a quick comparison of the two most popular materials.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

Plant-based, biodegradable, easy to print. Great for decorative items, toys, and gifts. This is what we use for most Pixel Prints orders.

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

Stronger than PLA, more heat resistant, slightly flexible. Better for functional parts that need to handle stress.

Our Pick

For most projects, PLA wins. It prints cleaner, comes in more colors, and is better for the environment. We only use PETG when a customer specifically needs extra durability.
